Johan began his career in 2002, driven by a passion for immersive stage design and a deep understanding of the creative and technical elements behind live productions. Over the years, he has played an integral role in the success of numerous high-profile productions, including Reik Na Die Sterre – Die Musical at the South African State Theatre, Innibos National Arts Festival in Nelspruit, RMB National Conference at Sun City, FNB Starlight POP Opera in Umhlanga, Theuns Jordaan Tribute at Loftus, Krone at Loftus, Afrikaans in Styl at SunBet Arena, CTC Festival at DHL Stadium, and Janice Honeyman’s renowned pantomimes such as Cinderella, Adventures in Pantoland, Peter Pan, and Beauty and the Beast at the Johannesburg Civic Theatre.
His outstanding contributions to lighting and stage design have earned him multiple nominations and awards, including recognition at the prestigious Naledi Theatre Awards and KykNET Fiësta Awards.
